About us
NGO "Better life for a countryside" is a nongovernmental, nonprofit and nonpartisan organization established. Registered in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro, under number 4555, date 13.01.2009. Street address of our organization is Vuk Karadzic, 36, Pljevlja.
The organization was created from the desire of young college-educated people, who returned to the city of their birth after study, to improve the quality of life of young people in their town and that their actions draw attention to the problem of dying villages. In a world full of technological advances, young people gathered at the NGO "Better life for a countryside", are turning to nature, beauty of the village and promote healthy lifestyles.
The objectives of the association are:
✓ survival and development villages od Pljevlja,
✓ exploitation of tourism potential of the village,
✓ linking rural with urban planning and spatial development,
✓ supporting healthy lifestyles
✓ youth work on their inclusion in all spheres of social life in the village and the city.
Activities of the Association are:
✓ creating conditions for survival and return of people to the countryside
✓ presenting and developing rural tourism potentials
✓ organizing sports and cultural events in the countryside
✓ cooperation with educational institutions in order to improve their work
✓ cooperation with other NGOs, local offices and organizations at home and abroad.
✓ education people about efficient methods of production in the agriculture.
✓ work on arranging, planning and development picnic areas, children playgrounds, recreational trails, parks, riverbeds and settlements.
✓ the preservation of the environment and biodiversity.
✓ creating publications, photo, video, or electronic material about the beauty of the village, ancient customs, crafts, agricultural work, and the positive examples of young artists.
✓ promoting volunteerism.
✓ encouragement of informal education of young people.
✓ informing and youth mobility.
✓ romotion of young talents.
